Kinlynk

Terms and Conditions

Effective 29 June 2026

1. Who we are

Kinlynk is owned and operated by Patrol X Technologies Pty Ltd and was created by Tankrich AI Consulting. In these Terms, "Kinlynk", "we", "us", and "our" mean Patrol X Technologies Pty Ltd.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Kinlynk, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Kinlynk.

3. Family safety service, not an emergency service

Kinlynk is designed for everyday family coordination, location sharing, and place alerts. It is not an emergency response service, medical service, security service, law enforcement tool, or substitute for direct supervision, emergency calls, welfare checks, or professional advice.

If anyone may be in danger, call local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on Kinlynk to detect, prevent, or respond to emergencies.

4. Location accuracy and availability

Location data can be delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate because of device settings, battery mode, browser limitations, operating-system restrictions, weak GPS, network issues, app permissions, or whether the user has opened the installed PWA recently.

You are responsible for checking that location and notification permissions are enabled and for understanding that PWA background location is limited on many devices.

5. Consent and responsible use

You must only invite people who have agreed to share their location with you. You must not use Kinlynk to stalk, harass, coerce, secretly monitor, control, or harm another person. You are responsible for how you use invite codes and family groups.

If you create an account for, or supervise use by, a child or dependent person, you are responsible for obtaining any required parental, guardian, or legal consent.

6. Accounts and security

You are responsible for your account credentials, invite codes, device access, and actions taken through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account or a family invite code has been compromised.

7. Acceptable use

You must not misuse Kinlynk, including by:

  • breaking laws or violating another person's privacy or safety;
  • attempting to access accounts, groups, data, or systems without permission;
  • interfering with, scraping, reverse engineering, or overloading the service;
  • uploading malicious code or using Kinlynk for harmful conduct.

8. Changes, suspension, and availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, including beta features and roadmap items. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe the service is being misused, security is at risk, or these Terms are breached.

9. Third-party services

Kinlynk depends on third-party services, including hosting, authentication, maps, geocoding, device browsers, push notifications, and infrastructure providers. Their availability and terms may affect Kinlynk.

10. Consumer guarantees and limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights, guarantees, warranties, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kinlynk is provided "as is" and "as available". We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive loss, or for loss caused by inaccurate location, missed alerts, outages, permission settings, device restrictions, or third-party services.

11. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of Kinlynk, breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, or violation of another person's rights.

12. Updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users in the app or on our website. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
